scootering server overload feedback

Bermula dari semalam (lingkungan 29 Januari 2009) server forum scootering.com.my telahpun digantung sementara oleh pihak hosting kerana melebihi had cpu dibenarkan.

Aku (fairx aka admin) tengah cuti kat kampung, so memang takde maxis dan line rumah pun kengkawan rapat je yang tahu. So, malam tadi masa aku balik ke kedai baru la masalah server ni aku dapat tau. Malam tadi jugak perbincangan dengan pihak hosting untuk membolehkan forum online semula.

Sementara tu aku backup dulu Mysql database. Tudia.. besar jugak db scootering nih. tahun sudah separuh ke saiznye.

Tengah malam, aku dapat access balik ke forum dengan temporary password untuk direktori /forum. Terus je aku backup semua data yang penting terutamanya attachment & galeri.

Pukul 2 pagi backup direktori & mysql selamat dipindahkan ke server backup. Tetapi perbincangan lanjut ngan hosting memberi nafas baru kepada forum; syaratnya tiada lagi cpu hogging. Aku percaya selama ni cpu hogging berpunca dari public_html yang penuh dengan apache core dump.. penuh sampai full 10000MB data hosting.

Lepas siasat barulah aku pasti apa yang bermasalah dengan apache core dump. Upgrade 1 script forum dengan bantuan smf dev forum. Harap2 penyelesaian masalah ni kekal & tak menggangu lagi.

Pukul 3 pagi hosting kontek aku bagi kebenaran untuk akses umum direktori /forum. lega aku.

Tengahari, lepas aku bangun tido dan setel kerja, aku buka H/P, ada mesej dari Ijas. Sori Jas, aku memang x dapat line masa kat kampung, pastu plak aku tutup HP sebab nak fokus kepada forum restoration. Lepas berbalas sms ngan Ijas dia report kat aku masih ramai yang tak dapat akses forum.

Harap kat sini anda semua dapat beri feedback masalah akses ke forum. silalah reply. buat sementara waktu semua orang boleh reply tanpa register.

Takde amv baru sebab aku sibuk buka kedai

Aku sibuk sangat semingg ni.. ke sana sini menguruskan hal nak bukak kedai sendiri. Payah jga rupanya berniaga sendiri ni. Barulah aku tau.

InsyaAllah start minggu depan aku akan pindah kedai baru. Tak jauh dari kedai sekarang. seberang jalan je.. LOL

Apa-apa hal pun sabar menanti. Projek tetap jalan beb!!

Problem with vobsub & subtitle font attachment

A friend of mine tried the video + .ass subtitle on his computer and found something terrible. Everytime he play the video, the PC restart instantly without any warning. His machine run Win2k just like mine though.

After a few tries, I figure out it has something to do with ass font attachment. And I figure that might create potential problem with user with same rig as his – although I did successfully played the file on several computer running Win2k & WinXP.

So I attach here the same .ass script without font attachment. The font is in zip file and has to be install manually.

Simple Karaoke SFX for FLCL-Terharu

I decided to do karaoke SFX for my FLCL-Terharu amv today and finally gather my courage to try the process. Years ago I download the SSA subtitler tool and I’m totally lost. I never had any courage to try karaoke sfx again after that. I alwas envy people who can do great karaoke sfx especially in horor / goth-loli themed anime fansubs.

However, a friend request me a karaoke or at least a sub for my amv. I always thought a simple srt file is not appropriate for music videos although I made many before using Subtitle Workshop. Perhaps this is the right chance for me to try sfx once more, I thought.

This time I downloaded Aegisub. This is an advance & easy subtitle editor for ASS / SSA format – used by many to create subs & SFX.

I found Aegisubs relatively easy to understand & operate, even without manual. Unless someone never really tried subtitling before. For more info about Aegisub please visit the wikipedia. I tried Sabbu before but I think Aegisubs is better IMO.

For this karaoke sfx, I use very basic method of styling coz I’m still experimenting all those option & settings. The sfx help file (internet) is unavailable ATM. I use the font CroissantD. If you guys don’t have the font, don’t worry. I did attach it with the file (it’s actually merged with the .ass file so you don’t have to manually install it.

You will need the Vsfilter (DirectVobSub) to load the subtitle while playing the video. If you have any kind of codec pack installed it’s most likely that directVobSub is already in your system. If you don’t, get CCCP here. You might need to turn off the “Pre-buffer subpictures” option in DirectVobSub to make sure the karaoke works.

The .ass styling is rather basic but you still need a fair PC to play the karaoke smoothly. A mid Pentium III pc is needed.

Welcome to ‘Anime Music Video Malaysia’ blog.

This blog is created to set a proper way for me to develops & present my own AMV collection to other fans of this genre.

This blog wil show AMV that is created & edited by myself or by another colleagues and such. The main point is to create AMVs with Malay / Indonesia flavours or something that created by fellow Malaysians.

This blog by NO means serve as an official site of Malaysia AMV’s since there is none actually exist (as far as I know). I was hoping that it can be so in the future.

Although (soon) many of the songs used in these AMVs is in Malay / Indonesian language, I hope that won’t reduce your interest in our productions. Great music can break any culture or language barrier.

Selamat datang ke Anime Music Video Malaysia.

Laman ini dibina (didaftarkan) sebagai wadah untuk penulis mengembangkan minat dalam menerbitkan AMV untuk koleksi sendiri & juga peminat-peminat AMV yang lain.

Blog ini akan memaparkan AMV yang disusun & disunting sendiri oleh saya ataupun kawan-kawan lain yang menghasilkan karya seumpamanya. Laman blog ini juga akan lebih menekankan kepada penghasilan AMV dalam lagu Bahasa Melayu / Indonesia dan juga penerbit tempatan.

Saya berharap akan dapat meletakkan AMV pertama saya di sini tidak berapa lama lagi.
